This policy explains what Storage Kings collects when you rent a unit, visit this site or contact us, what we do with it, and what choices you have. Storage Kings operates self storage facilities in Altoona, Cresson and Williamsburg, Pennsylvania.
What we collect
- Your name, postal address, email address and telephone number.
- Details of the unit you rent, your gate code and your access history at the gate.
- Payment information. Card and bank details are handled by our payment processor and are not stored on our own systems.
- Messages you send us by phone, text or email, and our replies.
- Basic technical information when you use this site, such as pages viewed and the type of device used.
How we use it
- To set up and manage your rental, including gate access.
- To take payment, issue invoices and chase overdue balances.
- To contact you about your unit, your account or your payments.
- To answer questions you send us.
- To meet our obligations under Pennsylvania law, including self storage lien law.
Text messages and mobile information
If you give us your mobile number we may text you about your account: payment reminders, gate or access notices, and replies to messages you send us. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
You can stop messages at any time by replying STOP. For help, replyHELP or call us on (814) 799-0210. Opting out of texts does not affect your rental or your access to your unit.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your information. We share it only where we have to in order to run the business:
- Our payment processor, to take and record payments.
- Our storage management and communications providers, who operate our systems on our behalf and may only use your information to provide that service to us.
- Professional advisers, insurers, or law enforcement and courts where we are required to by law.
How long we keep it
We keep rental and payment records for as long as you rent from us and afterwards for as long as we need to for tax, accounting and legal reasons, including any period required under Pennsylvania self storage lien law. After that we delete them or make them anonymous.
Your choices
- Ask us what information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep.
- Stop text messages by replying STOP.
- Unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in it.

Security
We take reasonable steps to protect the information we hold, including limiting who can see it. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee that information sent over the internet is completely safe.
Children

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and update the date at the top.
