Common questions
- What size unit do I need?
- As a rule of thumb, a 5 by 10 takes a single room of furniture, a 10 by 10 takes about two bedrooms, and a 10 by 20 takes a full house. If you are between two sizes, take the bigger one. Paying a few dollars more beats discovering on moving day that the sofa will not go in.
- Do I need climate control?
- If you are storing anything wood, leather, paper, fabric or electronic for more than a few weeks, yes. Central Pennsylvania swings from humid summers to hard freezes, and that is what warps furniture and cracks leather. For tools, garden kit, tyres and general household overflow, a drive-up unit is fine.
- When can I get to my unit?
- Gates are open 6am to 10pm, seven days a week. Every tenant gets their own gate code, so inside those hours you come and go without an appointment. If you need a person, we answer the phone 9 to 5, Monday to Friday.
- How long do I have to rent for?
- Month to month. There is no long contract, and you keep the unit only as long as you need it. Eligible rentals receive one month free; current promotion details are shown at checkout.
- Are the prices on this site what I pay?
- The prices here are cash rates and are a starting point. Card payments are a little higher, and the exact figure for the unit you choose is shown on that location’s rental page before you commit to anything.
